When do the shops in the center open?

In Peschiera del Garda, the usual closing day is Wednesday. However, each merchant may choose another closing day or decide to remain open daily, especially during the peak season from June to September.

 

It's important to note that throughout the year, many shops close between 12:30 PM and 3:30 PM.

Tourist fishing license

For residents of Veneto, the amateur-sport fishing license (type B) is constituted by proof of payment of the regional concession fee of €34.00. All type B licenses are valid for 365 days from the date of payment.

 

The fishing license issued in other regions of Italy is valid in the regional territory of Veneto. In Veneto, the type B fishing license allows fishing freely in all areas not subject to concessions, exclusive fishing rights, and zones banned from fishing. For residents of Veneto under 18 years of age and over 70, no payment is required.

 

Foreign tourists can engage in amateur-sport fishing after making a payment of €13.00 at the post offices of various municipalities or through following link: This type D license is valid for 3 months throughout the territory of the Veneto Region.

Porto Cappuccini: They only provide launching and hauling services and then store boats indoors (about 70 spaces).

What to do when it rains?

Even when it rains, there are various places to visit and activities to do on Lake Garda. A few example could be: visiting museums, exploring cities, or booking guided tours with tastings at local wineries. 

If you are passionate about history and traditions, in Peschiera you will find the Fishing Museum. Open on Saturdays and Sundays with the following hours: 10:30 - 12:30, 15:30 - 18:30.

Around Lake Garda you can also find several thermal spas, such as: 

  • Parco Termale del Garda in Colà di Lazise;
  • Aquaria in the historic centre of Sirmione;
  • Aquardens in Pescantina.

 

If your are looking for a more intimate experience, we suggest booking a spa day at one of the hotels in the area with a public spa, such as Le Ali del Frassino or Parc Hotel Paradiso

 

For families with children, we recommend Gardaland SEA LIFE Aquarium in Castelnuovo del Garda and Children's Museum in Verona, both entirely indoors.

Dog Beach

Braccobaldo Beach (Litorale Bergamini / Loc. Fornaci – Peschiera del Garda – VR) is certainly among the most well-known and well-equipped beaches.

You can rent umbrellas, sunbeds, or deck chairs, including for our furry friends.
